This was my first time to take US 50. The signs say it's "The Loneliest Highway in the World" and I believe it

Eureka, Nevada, the coldest place on my trip. It was 24 degrees and I was glad to find a room.

On the way into Moab

I stopped at the home of my songwriter friends TR Ritchie and Cosy Sheridan but they weren't home.

Tom Russell's song, "Who's Gonna Build Your Wall" had been going through my head for thousands of miles
